ARTIST STATEMENT
Moonfire is the name given to me in reference to my highest self. This name was actualized while on my healing journey, a life journey of realizing my fullest potential.
I sign all my art with this name, because this art comes from the highest and most pure parts of my self. This art is a representation of truth and beauty, of love and light, of balance and harmony; all of which I believe to be the fundamentals of life.
The energy that is our existence is evident through my art. My mission is to open myself up enough to let the natural flow of life come through me and into our world. With the love and light that creates this art, I hope to bring a more peaceful and harmonious balance to our being.
ARTIST PHILOSOPHY
Art is a sensory representation of life. The vibration of each component (color, texture, aroma, sound frequency, etc.) overlaps with surrounding components giving birth to infinite new forms. This parallels all systems in life. Each component being fundamentally unique, yet inevitably connected to all things.
By focusing my energies in a proactive way, I “paint” the universe with beauty; I bring the sensory experience of life into a form that beautifies our sometimes chaotic situations. Art is used as a healing tool that opens us up to receiving intuitive instruction to obtain balance, as it is the dualistic nature of our existence that provides for the necessity of balance. Art unifies the fundamental positive and negative energies in an equally beneficial form, neither weighing heavier than the other.
Art is the union of existing energies (colors, ideas, shapes, experiences, etc.) to create endless perceptions of life. To be an artist is to acknowledge the Creator in each of us, to acknowledge that our unified duality breeds the necessity of balance, and to acknowledge that each unique component unites with all components to create the perfectly harmonious cohesion of life.
ARTIST MISSION
As people, my mission is to obtain balance. As an artist, my mission is to create timeless beauty from my LOVE of life to offer the word in a balanced exchange.
As time has given us a socially constructed form of energy exchange called “money”, I aspire to maintain the necessary amount of this energy for a comfortable survival.
I will continue to create life, with the awareness that life is perfectly balanced (an out-flux of energy inevitably results in a balanced in-flux of energy). This natural balance provides a forum for my dream, to live as an artist, to become my reality.
As an artist, I will provide sensory stimulants to beautify those perceptions of our reality that my art touches, and to encourage the artist in us all to shine brightly through. I hope that all who encounter my art have shared in the energy I gave to the world, and the necessary balance of life will continue to prevail.
